Program Title: Icarus

Music Selections: Pegasus Intro by John Gibson Night on Fire by John Mackey Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden Harmonium: Wild Nights by John Adams The Hanford Marching Band presents "Icarus." Our show opens as Icarus, with wings of wax and feathers, soars into the sky, intoxicated by the thrill of flight. Ignoring the warnings, he flies too close to the sun, melting his wings and plummeting to the earth. We feel the quiet sorrow of Icarus' fall, a moment of reflection on lost ambition. But, we celebrate not his descent, but his daring—the courage to dream and fly at all, a tribute to those who reach for greatness despite the risks.
