Jeff Bush


Biography

Jeff Bush has been a percussion educator and arranger in Washington and Oregon State for the past 40 years. Early on, Jeff developed his performance skills in drum set, concert percussion, and marching percussion while studying with Dan Adams, Michael Crusoe, and Bob Meyers. In high school, Jeff earned eight medals at the WIAA State Solo & Ensemble Championships and remains passionate about providing those same opportunities to the students in his private studio.

After being a member of the Marauders Drum & Bugle Corps from 1983 to 1987, Jeff played snare drum for the 1990 Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps. He attended the University of North Texas, where he was a member of the PASIC Champion UNT Drumline and studied with Dr. Robert Schietroma, Ed Soph, Tom Float, Paul Rennick, and Ralph Hardimon.

Jeff has directed numerous award-winning percussion programs across the Pacific Northwest. He led the Sherwood High School Percussion Ensemble to win the 2022 WGI PSO World Championships. He also served as the percussion director and arranger for the Seattle Cascades, Oregon Crusaders, Oregon Crusaders Indoor, Marauders, and River City Railmen.
